Hamza Andreas Tzortzis
Hamza Andreas Tzortzis is a public speaker, author and one iERA’s lead instructors. He has attained a master’s and postgraduate certificate in philosophy from the University of London. He is currently continuing his postgraduate studies in the field. He has travelled around the globe sharing the compassionate message of Islam and teaching people how to share Islam.
Salahuddin Patel is an outreach specialist who focuses on training and development activities internationally for iERA. Since converting to Islam more than 15 years ago, he has gained a wide array of experience in various dawah activities, ranging from elderly and homeless projects to delivering classes and lectures for new Muslims and University audiences.
Born and raised in the UK, Ustadh Asif Uddin has been heavily involved in the Da’wah from the time he was at university. He is a keen student of knowledge and has studied the Islamic sciences in Mauritania, Egypt and Qatar, and continues that journey today. Asif gives weekly circles of Tafseer and is a lecturer for Sabeel and MRDF. Recently completing an MA in Islamic Studies at SOAS, he is also a PhD candidate at Swansea university related to Qur’anic Studies. He is currently working at iERA in research and education department.
Imran Hussein is an instructor and lecturer for iERA. He is a student of Islamic thought and philosophy.
Subboor is a student of Islamic thought and studies the Philosophy of Biology and an outreach specialist for iERA.
Mohammed Hijab is a debater and public speaker who engages in discussions and polemics on a wide variety of topics including religion, politics and society. He is an outreach specialist for iERA, delivering lectures and courses on sharing Islam with compassion in different parts of the world.
Dr. Stef Keris
Dr Stef Keris was born in 1972 in Greece but was raised in Germany, where he went to school and university. During his studies, he came across Islam and started to read about the faith. After three years of inner struggle, he accepted the deen in 1992 and started learning Arabic and more about his new way of life. He has travelled to many countries and has worked as a teacher in a number of them (NL, UAE, Saudi Arabia, GR, UK). He has been a lecturer and teacher for the last 25 years. Stef is a polyglot (English, German, Greek, French, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic) with a Master’s and a PhD in Political Science.
Mikaeel Ahmed Smith
Sheikh Mikaeel Smith is a teacher at Qalam Institute, an Islamic seminary in Dallas, Texas. He embraced Islam after reading the Qur’an and the biography of Malcolm X, after embracing Islam, he went on to memorise the Qur’an and graduate with an Alimyah degree in Islamic Studies from Dar Uloom al Madaniya in Buffalo New York. One of the fields that he focuses on is Prophetic Emotional intelligence. Over the last year, he authored a book; ‘With the Heart and Mind’ which focuses on the prophetic tradition of how to truly connect with others.
